One
by one, cars pulled into the parking
lot. Car doors opened and women stepped out taking a most important step in ensuring they would not have a cancer story to
tell.
Some
hesitated, wondering if all the horror stories were true.
Each woman questioned her instinct to get back in her
car and leave. Bravely, each decided to go ahead with it, but the
questions remained.
Each walked to the door of the Imaging
Center
and entered with relief that she wasn’t the first one to arrive.
Sharon was there, and so were others. That was a relief! No one likes to
be alone.
Each woman checked in with the receptionist who
verified her information, matching names to doctor scripts and
insurances. Then, each was invited back to the party room for the
day’s activities.
